Selective pesticide "Lintur" is widely used by modern farmers. The advantage of the drug is in its selectivity: it destroys a number of malicious weeds, but gently affects beneficial plantings. Cereals are not affected by Lintur, the yield is not reduced, but rather increased by the weed-free soil.

The pesticide accumulates in the soil, providing long-term exposure to weeds. This gives protection against re-germination. Sometimes only one treatment per year is enough, although the manufacturer recommends doing this twice - in spring and autumn.

The herbicide has no contraindications for crop rotation. After processing for the next season, you can plant any plants.

Preparing a tank mixture for a lawn

Instructions for use

A solution is prepared from the granular preparation. It is distributed over the area from the sprayer. You need to spray the weeds on the sheet so that the solution does not drain into the ground.

How to prepare and apply the solution:

  1. First measure out the required amount of pellets. For lawn treatment it is convenient to buy "Lintur" in a small pack - 1.8 g. This is a measured amount for the preparation of 5 liters of solution. It is enough to handle an area of 100 m2.
  2. Fill a clean container with water to a quarter, cover with granules and shake well.
  3. Add the remaining water to obtain 5 liters of solution, mix again to make the composition homogeneous.
  4. Before spraying, the rest of the plantings must be covered with protective material. Broad-leaved fruit and vegetable crops are especially sensitive. If you plan to grow a new lawn, you can cultivate its entire area, and after the weeds wilt, dig everything up.
  5. Use the solution on the day of preparation, it cannot be stored.

To preserve the beauty of the lawn, two treatments with Lintur per season are enough:

  • The first occurs at the end of May, when the weeds are in the active growth phase.Spraying is carried out 3-5 days after mowing.
  • A second spraying is recommended in mid-August, also after mowing.

In the first year after sowing, the lawn must be mowed three times before proceeding to remove the weeds with the pesticide.

Rapid removal of weeds from the fed and moistened lawn is noted.

The drug has no effect on plants in the generative phase. Don't wait for flowering. When the weed has no more than 6 leaves, the herbicide works to its maximum.

Lawn in the evening

Weather

One of the disadvantages of Lintur is its dependence on weather conditions. Not in every climatic zone, the herbicide does its job. In hot regions with alkaline soils, another weed control agent should be selected. If spring or autumn frosts are predicted, processing should also be postponed until stable weather is established.

Precipitation also interferes with the work of the drug. If rain is expected, it is best to postpone spraying the lawn. The optimum operating temperature is 15-25 degrees Celsius.

Spraying is planned for early morning or evening in calm, dry weather. The wind can blow herbicide particles onto other crops and harm them.

Spraying plantings in a protective suit

Security measures

Lintur has a moderate - third - hazard class for humans, animals and insects. Work on the site is carried out in a protective suit, mask and respirator. It is forbidden to smoke, eat or drink during processing (this can lead to poisoning). Keep children and animals away from the site during work. After spraying, wash your hands and face thoroughly, rinse your mouth.

Signs of herbicide poisoning:

  • nausea;
  • vomiting;
  • general weakness;
  • irritation of the mucous membranes.

In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse thoroughly and for a long time with water. In case of swallowing, the help of a doctor will be required; before meeting with him, you need to take a sorbent and induce vomiting.

The lawn mown after processing must not be given to animals!

Food containers should not be used to prepare the composition. After processing, the packaging from the drug and the container from under the solution are disposed of in a special place, which is determined by the environmental authorities. It is forbidden to drain the solution and use it near the water protection zone.

Lintour herbicide canister label

"Lintur" is almost not dangerous for bees, however, provided that it is adjacent to the apiary, it is necessary to warn in advance about the use of the pesticide. At the time of work, insects should be no closer than 2-3 km within 24 hours.

The effectiveness of the drug depends on the storage conditions:

  • The pellets are stored in a dry room separate from food, feed and medicine.
  • Access to the storage area is prohibited for children and pets.
  • Temperature range - from -10 to +35 degrees.
  • Expiration date - 3 years from the date of manufacture.

Ready-made solutions must be used within 24 hours, then their effectiveness decreases. They are not subject to storage.

What could go wrong?

The main mistakes gardeners make when using Lintur:

  • wrong concentration of the solution;
  • spraying in wet and rainy weather, at temperatures below +5 degrees;
  • flowering weed treatment;
  • use after the expiration date, storage of the finished solution for more than a day.

In adverse weather conditions, the death of weeds will occur later than the stated date. It is necessary to strictly follow the instructions and not forget about protective measures so that the processing is successful and does not lead to unpleasant consequences.

So, "Lintur" is included in the line of modern highly effective herbicides, without which it would be much more difficult for gardeners to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the site. In a personal subsidiary farm, the drug is easy to use, economically beneficial and extremely useful. You can safely entrust your lawn to Lintur.
